Huge thanks for this videos serie, it's really well made and your opinions differs alot to mine which make those vids even more interesting to watch. Huge fan of AC games here and i must say the game feels great and give you insane control of your plane. We have Flares, High-G turns, post stall maneuver and special parts to equip our plane, but on the other hand we have the easiest Ace Combat game ever to be realeased. The IA is one of the worst in the serie, you can bounce of the ground without dying even on max difficulty. Most importantely, when you're on max diff, you're basically controlling a flying tank, that's capable of tanking dozens gun shots and multiple missiles hit. The game is too soft with the player. In AC5 and Zero, if you play on Ace Difficulty, you better not be hit too much by cannons and gun shots, and beeing hit by a missile meant insta death. Completing those games in Max diff meant something before and unlocking some special planes and camos was rewarding. Anayway ggs for the vids, they're awesome.

My favorite stances are the Dual Wield and the Double Blade. The Dual Wield was a lifesaver when fighting Dagan. Pro tip: to counter the orbiting lightsaber attack, hold down y or triangle to activate Force Parry, which will immediately stop the annoying orbiting lightsaber attack when hit. Side Note: Force Parry uses force energy, so remember to have force energy when Dagan activates his orbiting lightsaber attack

I swear in my mind this and Babel are cannon by way of being Vr Versions of debriefs from missions made by otakon and he couldn’t get his hands on voice data for the two lady’s

For the ending they are going for, I don't mind snake voiced by others. It just too bad how Kojima handle it. Should have informed hayter and pay him to be silent.

Portable Ops is proof that Metal Gear doesn't need Kojima anymore. Honestly, the story is so good compared to what Kojima did after 3. It's smarter and tighter. His Ego probably couldn't take it, hence all that debate about it being canon or not.

The story of this game is weaker than any other Metal Gear game, mainline games and spinoffs included, but that is almost to be expected because MGS games set a really high bar for videogame storytelling. The gameplay, however, is so much fun! Being a Ninja Gaiden fan since the original Xbox release, I went into this game hoping it might get at least somewhat close to the quality of Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that in some ways it even exceeded it. I'm happy to have this game in my collection as a Metal Gear fan and a ninja action game fan.

Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss was so jarring to me and I could never get used to it. Once you get to the very end of Phantom Pain, I kinda feel like it works

It's true that the there's about 2 hours of main story/gameplay here and anyone that isn't a big fan and just plays MGS games mainly for the story. However, there is so much more in this package for anyone who sticks around and explores, finding the unlockables, secrets, easter eggs and references to of Kojima's inspirations for the MGS series. I put 38 hours into Ground Zeroes and unlocked everything 100%. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Played on the PS3 and the visuals were amazing. Looks even better on PS4, and I'd say still looks great by today's standards, both technically and artistically. Side note, I pre-ordered this game in Canada and remember it being $29.99 CAD, which is about $20-25 USD. Not sure if pricing may have been different in other regions. Hopefully you don't rush through MGS V Phantom Pain and just enjoy it at your own natural pace. Looking forward to that analysis.

Another great analysis! I put over 160 hours into the Peace Walker on PSP back when it came out, and unlocked and maxed out pretty much everything. This game is great for hardcore fans as it offers so much content and play time, even though some missions can be seen as padding. The fact that this game is on a handheld from 2005 is simply incredible.

If any game deserves to be called Epic, it's got to be MGS4. It is so hard to decide which MGS game is my favorite, as each of the games has a lot going for them. But I think in the end MGS4 is my favorite and the one that evoked the most emotions for a long time Metal Gear fan such as myself. This game may not be perfect for everyone, but anyone who has even the slightest interest in it, should definitely try it out. Keep in mind that playing through MGS 1,2,3 would greatly enhance the enjoyment of MGS4.

Fucking ridiculous, but in a good way, nice game, though totaly not my kinda game. I prefered "Asura's Wrath", which is even more ridiculous, in a good way, both both are sweet. "Reveangence" could use a sequel, maybe something that closes the MGS story in general, because the MGS3 remake probably is a reboot as well, I guess. The "MGS Collection 2" might include "MGS4 + Reveangence" & the PSP games that are placed between MGS3 & MGS5 story-wise, while the "MGS Collection 3" probably will contain "MGS5.1 & 5.2 + MG: Survive".

He simulates everything, and despite his confidence in Nemo's perfection, he just doesn't adopt fatalism. I think this last line makes Simon's thinking interesting. Don't you think he's like a parent who knows the world isn't easy but still believes in his child's excellence? I don't think this is "it was all a dream ass ending". Everything begin from this point. At first, players feel that their decision is meaningful because the game is multi-ending, and they are betrayed when they realize that it's all a simulation, but it's not the end (yes, game is end, but i mean, you know). Does Nemo really kill Dision? If nemo achieves his goal, what happens beyond that? The player, Simon, and Nemo himself don't know. Because there is no pre-programmed story. The story of ACE COMBAT 3 isn't really perfect, but I think the meaning of Simon's last words is underestimated.

A flawed masterpiece that hits you in the feels like nothing else, even when its story is bonkers. Doesn’t get enough appreciation for being the first game to include things like the crouch walk, and the OctoCamo being an all around tech marvel. Did you know you can lie down on the ground on your back as well? You never showed it in the video (or I missed it). No feeling like being on Extreme difficulty, camo’d up in the grass on your back, gun at the ready as the bullets whiz by. It’s never mentioned in MGS4 videos, even when talking about how well it controls, leading me to believe people think MGS5 was the first to do it.

Ace combat but with Strikers 1945 vibe

At the time I found ac2 to have best gameplay, but ac3jp the best plot. The VR version is the best I'v played... being able to move your head to spot the enemy arround is invaluable.

Only played EN version and it was already a blast in terms of gameplay and graphics. Now i wonder if i should jump back to get better understanding of this in-depth plot 🤔

I would love to see a proper remake of metal gear and solid snake using something like the fox engine. There's tons of room for more more story elements to retroactively integrate it better into the metal gear story. However after removing the padding, the original metal gear would be little more than a prelude to a much larger Solid Snake game.
